3 April 2014 – the “Chelyabinsk-Petrovsk” pipeline ruptured at the territory of the Belokatayskiy district of the Republic of Bashkortostan. The forces of the EMERCOM of the Republic immediately arrived at the scene.
According to EMERCOM, the notification of the pipeline rupture was received from the “United dispatcher-on-duty service” (EDDC) of the Belokatayskiy district at 02:38 AM (GMT +6:00). The fire had been burning for almost one hour at the site of pipeline puncture before the fire was choked at 03:37 AM. The gas supply was restored with a standby pipeline at 05:30 AM.
The Emercom of Bashkortostan announced that the accident did not resulted in any injuries or deaths. The accident liquidation works involved 54 people and 13 units of engines, including 30 Russian Emercom workers and 5 units of fire engines.
